Acupuncture is a technique where a thin, disposable needle is inserted into the skin at specific points on the body. It is used increasingly for treating a variety of conditions.

Is it painful?

Acupuncture produces little to no pain. Most patients report minimal discomfort and are usually relaxed during treatment. The typical sensations reported during treatment include warmth, pressure, and tingling.

How long does Acupuncture take to work?

While each patient’s response to treatment varies, some patients report immediate relief after 1-3 sessions while others require 8-12 sessions. Generally, a patient will experience the greatest benefit over a course of 4-8 acupuncture sessions.
